Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Quality seeds help increase livestock results (Paaaraiba Total)

Paraiba Total (Brazil) published an article on livestock success depending on good pasture. The importance of choosing a quality seed is extremely important, allowing many advantages for rural entrepreneurs. An IFPRI survey shows that in developed countries meat and milk consumption had stability in the 1980s and 1990s, with a tendency to maintain this stability until 2020. On the other hand, in developing countries development there is a forecast of a 50% increase in the consumption of these products.
