Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Thomson Reuters Foundation News published an op-ed by IFPRI Director General Shenggen Fan. Fan spoke about the need to convene and discuss the investments, policies, and innovations that will catalyze the next decade of reductions in hunger and malnutrition ahead of the Accelerating the End of Hunger and Malnutrition conference this week in Bangkok with FAO.
