Corona has created a food security crisis in the world (IRNA)

April 06, 2021

Islamic Republic News Agency published an article stating that CSIS has analyzed the consequences of the global corona epidemic and food security in countries around the world. More than a year ago, IFPRI, in the book COVID-19 and Global Food Security, warned for the first time that if proper measures were not taken, Covid-19 could lead to a food security crisis. Today, with the rapid growth of the virus in the world, about 100 million people with coronary heart disease and 2 million deaths due to this disease have been registered. Meanwhile, at least four countries, Yemen, South Sudan, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso are facing famine and 13 other countries are close to their status. As a result, the UN Secretary-General has set up an excellent working group to prevent famine.
