Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Can sub-Saharan Africa Feed Itself? (Environmental Science Journal for Kids)

Environmental Science Journal for Kids, an initiative to make climate change and environmental science research accessible to kids and teens, adapted IFPRI’s latest research by Keith Wiebe and Daniel Mason-D’Croz on whether sub-Saharan Africa can feed itself. The illustrated publication explained the research methodology and key results in an easy-to-understand manner with an aim to facilitate younger generation’s understanding of global issues.
