More than 200 young people from about two dozen African countries from Morocco to South Africa, from Senegal to Ethiopia, answered our call to tell us their vision for achieving "A Full Food Basket for Africa by 2020." With concern, compassion, and wit, young Africans shared a human perspective on the sad realities of hunger and malnutrition in Africa and the need to create a different world.
The winners of the contest were announced at the 2020 Africa Conference in Kampala, Uganda on April 1, 2004.
